1 dead, 2 injured after 2-vehicle crash in Vaughan, Ont.: police

Officers responded to area of Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive shortly after 7:30 p.m.

York police say a person is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Vaughan, Ont., Sunday night.

York Regional Police (YRP) told CBC Toronto officers responded to the area of Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Two others were transported to hospital with serious, potentially non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

CBC Toronto has reached out to York paramedics for more information.

The intersection is fully closed, with the YRP's Major Collision Investigation Unit at the scene.

Police say they are working to determine the deceased person's identity.
