1 dead after 2
One person is dead after two vehicles collided on a highway north of Orangeville, Ont.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they responded to a two-vehicle collision at 12 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 10, north of 10 Sideroad in Mono, Ont.
One person was pronounced dead on scene and another was taken to hospital "as a precaution," said Dale Albers, public information advisor for the OPP, in an email.
"At this time, the highway remains closed while the on-site investigation and clean-up effort nears completion."
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
