1 dead after aircraft crashes in Victoriaville, Que.
Pilot was alone on board the aircraft when it crashed
One person died after an aircraft crashed into a field in Victoriaville, Que., on Monday evening.
The incident took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. near Route de l'Aéroport.
The pilot was unable to escape the flames and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said. The victim is a woman in her 20s who is not from the area.
The SQ also stated that the person was alone on board the aircraft. No other injuries were reported.
An investigation was underway Monday evening, conducted jointly by the SQ and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
