10-year JGB yield at 3-decade high
The yield on Japan's benchmark long-term government bond has hit its highest level in about 30 years.
The 10-year bond yield rose to 3.115 percent at one stage on Friday. Japan Bond Trading says the figure is the highest since August 1996.
Concerns about inflation fueled by high crude oil prices have also driven up US and European long-term interest rates. This has prompted selling of JGBs, keeping the yield high.
