We selected 28 startups for our North American and European accelerator programs to help redesign a more sustainable global energy system. These companies use artificial intelligence to improve grid efficiency, lower power costs, and strengthen energy reliability. Over the coming months, our experts will provide these founders with technical mentorship and access to Google tools to help them scale their solutions.
Google picked 28 startups to join its accelerator programs to help fix the world's energy problems. These companies are using AI to make power grids smarter, cheaper, and more reliable. Google is giving these teams tech tools and expert advice to help them grow their businesses. It’s all part of a plan to make clean energy easier for everyone to use.
We selected 28 startups focused on AI solutions for the energy industry to join the Google for Startups Accelerator programs across North America and Europe.
We see a generational opportunity for AI to redesign a sustainable and resilient global energy system, accelerating Google’s commitment to expand access to clean, reliable, and affordable power for everyone. The class of 2026 includes startups that are using AI to boost energy efficiency and reduce power bills for households and businesses, modernize the grid to run more efficiently and intelligently, and strengthen system reliability through smart demand flexibility solutions.

Over the coming months, we will work closely with the founders of these startups to help them scale their businesses. They’ll get dedicated technical mentorship from Google’s AI and energy experts, and access to Google digital tools and technologies.
All of these startups align with our ongoing efforts to power our global infrastructure growth with innovative solutions for the grid. This includes pioneering solutions like demand response capabilities at our data centers, catalyzing new energy storage technologies, and investing in energy efficiency solutions for the communities we call home.
