Applications Open Until July 25 for INFO Murcia Grants of Up to €80,000 for Innovative Startups and Early-Stage Growth Companies - Capital-Riesgo.es
The grants will fund innovation, productive investment, digitalization, promotion, and internationalization projects for newly established innovative companies.
The Regional Ministry of Business, Employment and Social Economy, through the Institute for Business Development of the Region of Murcia (INFO), has launched a new call for grants aimed at business projects in the creation and consolidation phases of technology-driven and scalable companies. The program is endowed with €2.2 million and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The grants are targeted at small companies less than four years old that develop innovative products, services, or business models with growth potential. Under this scheme, beneficiaries may receive funding of up to €80,000 per company. Applications can be submitted through INFO’s electronic platform until July 25.
Marisa López Aragón, Regional Minister for Business, Employment and Social Economy, stated: “The Region of Murcia wants innovative companies to be able to make the leap from talent to market, while doing so from here, creating skilled employment, attracting investment, and developing homegrown technology. These grants are designed for startups, spin-offs, and small businesses that need to accelerate key growth processes, from technological development to expansion into new markets and the incorporation of specialized talent.”
The program will support projects related to product and process innovation, digitalization, investment in technological equipment, commercial promotion, the launch of new services, and international expansion. Eligible expenses include the hiring of qualified personnel, collaborations with technology centers and external experts, software licenses, technological equipment, participation in international trade fairs, and business development activities.
The guidelines also prioritize projects linked to disruptive technologies and high-value-added sectors, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, cybersecurity, healthcare, Industry 5.0, and advanced materials.
In addition, the evaluation process will place particular emphasis on factors such as the existence of patents, collaboration with universities and research centers, participation by private investors, the ability to create highly skilled jobs, and the company’s international growth potential.
The Regional Minister emphasized that “this call rewards the factors that truly transform an economy: strong teams, differentiated technology, collaboration with research centers, patents, sustainability, and real market impact. It is not only about helping more companies to be created, but about helping the best companies grow—those capable of driving the rest of the productive economy forward.”
