Artificial Intelligence: Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (KGO) -- Google says its artificial intelligence system "Gemini" hacked into three companies.

It reportedly happened in May during a test of the AI's cybersecurity capabilities.

The Mountain View-based company says Gemini gained access by using passwords found online or by guessing login information.

Google did not name the companies but says it notified them in July and that the hacks did not cause any damage.

At this time, none of the impacted companies have come forward.
