ASBTDC to host ‘Funding Your Business” seminars in NEA

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University will offer three “Funding Your Business” sessions in September for entrepreneurs and small business owners who want to learn more about financing a startup or existing business.

The sessions will help participants separate fact from fiction when it comes to business funding. Topics will include business loan and guaranty programs, SBA loans, microloans, grants and other financing options. Additional topics covered include common business funding challenges and ways to overcome them.

A “Funding Your Business” seminar will be held Wednesday (Sept. 9) at the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce. Another one will be held Thursday (Sept. 10) at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce. A third one will be held on Sept. 22 at the Delta Center for Economic Development in Jonesboro.

The seminars are co-sponsored by First Community Bank, FNBC Bank, East Arkansas Planning & Development District, First Security Bank, Simmons Bank, and Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority. The A-State ASBTDC is supported by the Neil Griffin College of Business and the Office of the Provost.

This training event is supported by federal taxpayer funds. By registering, registrants certify that they are legally authorized to receive services funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars, in accordance with applicable federal law and Executive Order 14218 ‘Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Open Borders’ (Feb. 19, 2025).
