ASTRO Offers Internships to Customers
As Malaysia’s Astro celebrates 30 years, the company has introduced the Astro Family Internship Programme, an internship opportunity exclusively for Astro customers and their eligible family members.
The Astro Family Internship Programme offers young adults the opportunity to gain real-world, behind-the-scenes experience at Malaysia’s leading media and entertainment company, working alongside industry professionals across media, entertainment, technology and corporate functions.
Christinne Lim, Chief Marketing Officer, Astro, said, “For 30 years, Malaysian families have welcomed Astro into their homes and made us part of their everyday lives. As we celebrate this milestone, we want to thank our customers for their trust and support by creating a meaningful opportunity for the next generation.
“We hope this programme gives young adults the opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience, discover their interests, and build the confidence to take their first steps into the working world. It is a gesture of appreciation to our customers, and an opportunity for the next generation to learn, grow and discover what lies ahead.”
Through the three-month internship programme, offered between February and July 2027, interns will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of business areas, including Content, Marketing, Communications, Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, as well as corporate functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Legal and Procurement.
Interns will also gain a broader understanding of the content and media business and how it connects with millions of Malaysians through entertainment, sports, news and digital services. Beyond building practical skills, the programme aims to help young talent explore their interests, discover potential career pathways, and develop valuable skills for the future workplace.
Applications for the Astro Family Internship Programme will open from 1 October 2026 until 31 December 2026. Applicants will be assessed based on their qualifications and suitability, with internship placements subject to business requirements.
