BNK Kyongnam Bank to Support Growth of Local SMEs and Small Business Owners
Eight Collaborative Projects Launched with the Gyeongnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, Including Overseas Joint Marketing for Defense Companies
BNK Kyongnam Bank and the Gyeongnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups are launching support initiatives to foster the growth of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners.
On June 24, the two organizations signed the "2026 Joint Business Support Agreement for Regional Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development," committing to revitalize the local economy by nurturing promising regional SMEs and promoting entrepreneurship.

Under the agreement, the two parties will implement eight collaborative projects: △Gyeongnam SME Grand Prize awards △Promotional support for SMEs in Gyeongnam △Overseas joint marketing for defense companies in Gyeongnam △Cooperative acceleration support with local startup support organizations △Export training and support for startups entering overseas markets △Education on responding to global trade and environmental regulation changes △Technical support for innovative venture companies △Development of entrepreneurial small business owners through AI utilization.
In particular, they will expand customized education and support programs to help regional SMEs innovate technologically, enter overseas markets, and adapt to the rapidly changing global environment and digital transformation.
Kim Kibum, Executive Director of BNK Kyongnam Bank, stated, "We hope that these joint initiatives with the Gyeongnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups will provide tangible benefits for strengthening the capabilities of local SMEs and outstanding startups, as well as revitalizing the regional economy.
