Calgary council votes to pursue additional downtown LRT options
The City of Calgary is no longer moving full steam ahead with an elevated Green Line LRT route through downtown. Officials were developing a plan based on the provincial government's preference for above-ground tracks. But on Tuesday, city councillors voted unanimously to explore and evaluate alternative alignments, including the possibility of an underground line through the core.
