Canada and Alberta strike major infrastructure deal to speed up homebuilding

A new joint agreement, announced today in Red Deer, Alta., by Prime Minister Mark Carney and Premier Danielle Smith, unlocks hundreds of millions of dollars for Alberta municipalities. The money will be used to build critical infrastructure needed to support new housing across the province. The deal comes just six months after Red Deer lost out on a previous round of federal housing funds. CBC’s Nadeer Hashmi reports.
