Canada invites 229 physicians to apply for permanent residence
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system.
The immigration department issued 229 ITAs in a draw for physicians with Canadian work experience.

The 2026 Express Entry draw tally now stands at 52 following this latest round.
Compared to the previous Express Entry selections targeting physicians with Canadian work experience, this draw features the lowest invitation count and the second-highest CRS cutoff.
Express Entry draws in 2026 have largely favoured candidates with existing ties to Canada, particularly provincial nominees and those with Canadian work experience, as is reflected in this latest draw.
