Canada invites 250 senior managers to apply for permanent residence

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system.

The immigration department issued 250 ITAs in a draw for senior managers with Canadian work experience.

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to have:

Foreign nationals in Canada who have applied for permanent residence through Express Entry may be able to obtain a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).

Should their current work permit expire before the BOWP application is finalized, they can benefit from maintained status and continue working under the conditions of the expired permit, so long as they remain in Canada.

Qualifying family members may also be eligible to apply for a BOWP.

Following this selection round, Canada has now held 56th Express Entry draws in 2026.

This draw recorded the lowest cut-off score of any 2026 selection for senior managers with Canadian work experience.

Express Entry selections in 2026 have continued to favour candidates with existing ties to Canada, particularly provincial nominees and individuals with Canadian work experience.
