Carney talks trade with Philippines' Marcos Jr.
Prime Minister Mark Carney and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met in Vancouver to sign trade agreements on energy, natural resources, trade and tourism. The two leaders then stopped for a snack at a Jollibee restaurant, the renowned Filipino fast-food chain that opened its first outlet in the city in 2022. (July 2, 2026)
