China Launches New Advanced Technology Test Satellite
Beijing, June 23 (QNA) - China has launched the Communication Technology Test Satellite dedicated to conducting technological experiments and verification of new technologies. The satellite successfully reached its designated orbit.
The launch occurred on Tuesday morning aboard a modified version of the Long March-7A from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province, southern China, Xinhua reported.
The new satellite, according to Xinhua, falls under the category of technological experimental satellites. It is mainly used to achieve several strategic and technical objectives for the Chinese space network, including satellite communications, television broadcasting, and high-speed data transmission to support terrestrial and space communications networks, as well as conducting verification tests of related technologies.
This launch marked the 653rd mission for the Long March series of carrier rockets, enhancing China's record of continuous and reliable space launch operations. (QNA)
