China Stocks Gain on Tech Boost
The Shanghai Composite rose 0.4% to 3,812 on Tuesday, while the Shenzhen Component gained 0.7%, as pressure on technology stocks eased following a recent sharp selloff.
Investors turned their attention to upcoming earnings from major global technology companies for fresh clues on the sustainability of the AI-driven market rally.
Supporting sentiment, Jijia Vision is in talks to launch GigaAI's IPO in Hong Kong as early as this year, adding to the growing pipeline of Chinese AI firms seeking public listings.
Several domestic AI startups, including DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and 01.ai, are also reportedly exploring capital market debuts as they compete with leading US developers and accelerate the commercialization of their technologies.
Technology and AI-related stocks led the gains, with Cambricon Technologies rising 1.6%, Hygon Information Technology advancing 5.0%, Zhongji Innolight adding 2.5%, and Eoptolink Technology climbing 5.6%.
