Chungnam Green Startups Meet Large and Mid

Securing contact points with potential clients is crucial for startups' technologies to translate into the actual market. At the Cheonan Green Startup Town in South Chungcheong Province, an open innovation program connecting local startups with large, medium, and mid-sized companies and public institutions was held, providing a venue to explore possibilities for technology demonstration and business cooperation.

CNT Tech, an investment-specialized accelerator, held the first '2026 GST Open Innovation Meetup' on the 16th at the Green Startup Town (GST) in Cheonan, Chungnam, together with the Chungnam Content Agency.

This program was established as part of the '2026 Chungnam Cheonan Green Startup Town Scale-up Program.' Its purpose is to connect resident companies with excellent technology with large and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions on a one-to-one basis to explore possibilities for discovering new businesses, verifying proofs of concept (PoC), joint ventures, and strategic alliances.

Four organizations participated as demand companies, including Douzone BizOn, CJ Investment, Megazone Cloud, and Cheonan City Corporation. They discussed potential collaborations with startups in various fields, such as B2B tech platforms, AI, lifestyle, cloud, and smart facility management.

In particular, the participation of the Cheonan Urban Development Corporation in discovering a case of open innovation focused on solving local problems by integrating startup technology into public service sites added further significance.

Fifteen companies participated in this meetup, including Currency United, Egg, The Engineer, Mobilate, Bioplay, AACBio, Biniz, AI Management, White Donkey, Roa Kitchen, Green AI, Salt Mine, Save the Farms, Unit Me, and Charvetier.

Participating companies discussed potential business cooperation through one-on-one meetups with clients and received practical advice on understanding target markets and setting business directions.

CNT Tech plans to support follow-up meetings between companies interested in collaboration even after the event, and also consider direct investment in outstanding companies. In August, it plans to host the second 'GST Open Innovation Meetup' to expand business cooperation opportunities between companies residing in Green Startup Town and companies selected for the 6th InnoST Challenge.
