CNN director of news born in Nepal says friends unreachable: ‘heartbreaking’
The flooding in Nepal is hitting close to home for a longtime member of the CNN family. CNN Director of International News for Video Sugam Pokharel was born and raised in Nepal before moving to the United States 20 years ago. He has friends there who are currently unreachable. Sugam told Brianna Keilar the news "feels especially personal." "This is incredibly heartbreaking and worrying, especially not knowing what has happened to them," he said.
