Crash closes part of city's ring road

A city's ring road is partially closed following an road traffic accident.

Cambridgeshire Police said the A1139 in Peterborough was shut westbound earlier due to a collision.

The force said the dual carriageway was closed between the junctions for Stanground, near Ikea, and the A1260 leading to Nene Parkway.

It posted the update on its social media channels, but it is not known how long the stretch is likely to be closed for.
