Debris found from missing Ontario
Debris has been found from the missing Ontario-based air ambulance carrying six people, including four Canadians, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
On Saturday night, the Coast Guard shared a news release on the search for the Gulfstream G100 jet, which had taken off from Bermuda's L.F. Wade International Airport and was scheduled to land at Boston Logan International Airport
The CGC William Sparling — designed to perform search and rescue missions — will continue search efforts throughout the night, the Coast Guard added in its update.
In addition to the four Canadians on board, the two other passengers are Bermudian nationals. The update added that next of kin have been contacted.
Across roughly 27 hours, crews have searched 1,644 square miles (4,257 square kilometres), the press release said.
A press conference in Boston is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4.
