Driver struck, killed on Highway 401 after leaving vehicle post-crash
It happened in Kingston shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday, police say
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a woman hit the centre median of Highway 401 in Kingston on Wednesday evening, left her vehicle and was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.
OPP said it happened on the westbound highway around the Division Street interchange shortly after 7 p.m.
They did not name the 56-year-old victim, nor say where she was from.
The crash closed the westbound highway until early Thursday morning. Police said the investigation continues.
