Dubai Police completes 104 technology projects in a year
Dubai Police completed 104 strategic and operational technology projects over the past year as it expanded the use of artificial intelligence and automation across its services, it announced on Sunday.
The figures were revealed during an annual inspection of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
The department has also deployed 36 robotic process automation systems, known as RPA robots, to carry out routine administrative tasks and reduce workloads for employees.
Dubai Police said its public digital services recorded a continuity rate of 99.97 per cent during the current year, while the rate for its technology systems reached 99.92 per cent.
Lieutenant General Al Marri also reviewed plans to expand the use of artificial intelligence across police, administrative and operational functions.
These include an AI platform designed to analyse data, automate procedures and provide digital tools for employees and customers.
The force is also developing a smart assistant for its Smart Police Stations, which provide policing and security services around the clock without requiring customers to visit a traditional police station.
Lieutenant General Al Marri said Dubai Police would continue investing in technology alongside specialist expertise as it develops its digital services.
