Foodics Completes Acquisition of Greek AI Startup Norma AI
Norma AI's technology has already been deployed across more than 10,000 customer branches since Foodics' initial investment in 2025.
Foodics has completed the acquisition of Greek artificial intelligence startup Norma AI, taking full ownership of the company and bringing its team into the Saudi-headquartered food and beverage software platform's dedicated AI division.
The deal follows an initial investment made during the first quarter of 2025.
Founded by George Henein and Anastasios Anastasiadis, Norma AI develops data intelligence and business intelligence tools for the hospitality sector. In 2024, the company introduced what it described as the industry's first natural language business intelligence platform, allowing restaurant operators to ask questions in plain language and instantly generate insights and customised dashboards.
Following Foodics' initial stake, Norma's technology was integrated into the Foodics platform and has since been adopted by more than 10,000 customer branches.
According to the company, the acquisition supports its transition into an AI-native platform and strengthens its footprint across the region. Founded in 2014, Foodics currently serves more than 40,000 branches across the GCC and North Africa and has processed over six billion orders.
The transaction comes as restaurant operators increasingly seek AI-powered tools to analyse growing volumes of operational data and improve decision-making.
