With just one month to go, the BWF invites Member Associations, Continental Confederations, schools, badminton clubs, universities, Para sport organisations, Special Olympics programmes, fans, NGOs, and cities around the world to be part of this global celebration.

We are also offering badminton fans a chance to win a trip to the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2026 in Hangzhou, China.

The goal is to raise awareness and inspire people worldwide to enjoy the sport, while living active and healthy lifestyles. The contest has four key themes:

BWF first marked World Badminton Day on 5 July 2022, commemorating the founding of the International Badminton Federation — now the BWF — on 5 July 1934.

Celebrated annually, the day recognises this historic milestone while bringing people and communities together through fun, inclusive, and innovative badminton activities around the world.

It offers a unique opportunity to showcase the sport’s many qualities and inspire everyone to ‘Raise a Racket’, encouraging friends, family, and communities to get involved.
