Indian startups this week: Funding slips 3% to $258.6 million
Indian startups raised $258.6 million across 19 funding rounds during September 4-10, 2026, down 3.1% from the $267 million raised across 22 rounds in the previous week, according to the Tracxn data.Funding, however, remained higher than the $168.3 million raised across 16 rounds during August 21-27. The two largest deals during the week - Pixxel's $100 million Series C and Nua's $50 million Series C - together accounted for about 58% of the total funding.Late-stage deals leadLate-stage funding accounted for the largest share of capital raised during the week at $173.2 million, up from $165 million in the previous week.Early-stage funding stood at $75.6 million, compared with $81 million a week earlier, while seed-stage funding fell to $9.8 million from $21 million.Seed funding includes Seed and Angel rounds; Early Stage includes Series A and B rounds; Late Stage includes Series C and above, PE, Pre-IPO and unattributed rounds.Pixxel tops funding chartSpace-tech startup Pixxel led the week's funding rounds with $100 million to expand satellite production in India and the United States, followed by Nua with $50 million and Swish with $24 million.Pixxel said the funding round is the largest single funding round raised by an Indian space technology company.
