JETRO Accelerates Global Expansion of Overseas Companies in Osaka -Invest Japan Business Support Center Osaka and J-Bridge -

Following the Osaka/Kansai Expo 2025, Osaka, which is located at the crossroads of business in Asia, is increasingly attracting global companies seeking a strategic advantage in the Japanese market. To establish a business in a new country, not only capital, but also trusted partnerships and expert guidance are essential. Here we will focus on the unique services provided by JETRO Osaka, which, as an organization that offers comprehensive support for investment in Japan, engages in activities to attract a diverse range of foreign companies.

● J-Bridge accelerates cross-border open innovation

JETRO promotes collaborative partnerships between Japanese companies and organizations including overseas startups through J-Bridge, a business platform for the creation of cross-border open innovation. J-Bridge users are Japanese companies interested in open innovation with overseas companies, and as of February 2026, it is used by 3,078 individuals at 1,976 companies.

JETRO will create an online business summary profile for registered overseas startups/companies and provide this information to “J-Bridge Members” (Japanese companies).

2. Meet-up Service with J-Bridge Members

Overseas startups/companies that JETRO supports can access our “Japanese Partner Finder” platform which contains information on Japanese companies interested in collaboration. You can search for Japanese companies and send meeting requests through the platform.

Overseas startups/companies will be provided information about various JETRO online events to promote digital transformation, carbon neutrality, and open innovation, including opportunities to attend seminars/business pitches.

4. Business Meetings arranged via JETRO

For startups with unique technologies and/or solutions, JETRO will reach out and organise business meetings with J-Bridge Members.

●Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) Osaka

JETRO IBSC Osaka offers a one-stop service to foreign-affiliated companies inside and outside Japan, supporting them to start business in the Kansai area. We provide comprehensive and individually tailored support from establishing a base to expanding business in Japan. Consultations are available in both Japanese and English.

IBSC Osaka offers free, temporary space for foreign companies which plan to establish permanent bases in the Kansai area. Located on the 29th floor of a building in the center of Osaka, with easy access throughout Kansai, IBSC allows users to conveniently meet with business partners and set up new office.
