ROOTSandBLUES Festival takes place July 24-26
CBC is proud to be the exclusive media partner for the 34th annual Salmon Arm ROOTSandBLUES Festival, returning to British Columbia’s Shuswap region. Hosted by the non-profit charitable organization the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society, the festival runs from July 24-26 at the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds.
Join CBC’s Chris Walker at the CBC Blues Stage, where he’ll be introducing incredible artists, including Juno-nominated band Secondhand Dreamcar and many more.
This year's star-studded lineup is headlined by Of Monsters and Men, Blue Rodeo, and The Sheepdogs. Across five stages, festival-goers can experience everything from blues and funk to folk, alongside festival camping, food vendors, local artisans, and interactive workshops for all ages.
For the fifth consecutive year, the festival is also honoured to host Pulk’w Place. This dedicated stage and area highlights Secwépemc culture and celebrates Indigenous music.
Be sure to stop by the pop-up CBC kiosk, called “It’s a Canada Thing,” which serves as an interactive community hub for the weekend. Visitors can meet Chris Walker, test their knowledge with trivia, snap a photo at a custom backdrop and grab some exclusive CBC swag.
