'Just regular luggage to them': Widow upset after Air Canada temporarily loses husband’s ashes
A Canadian airline temporarily lost the remains of an Alberta woman's late husband. She was travelling to Newfoundland to spread his ashes in the ocean. When she checked in for her flight, Air Canada told her the cremated remains would have to be transported in a checked bag. But when Twyla Shannahan arrived in Newfoundland, the bag containing his ashes was missing. Eventually the remains were recovered, but she continues to seek answers from Air Canada.
