Learn the Entrepreneurship Needed in the AI Era: Jinju K
The Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Youth Forum will be held.
Jinju City said on the 6th that the 4th Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Youth Forum will take place on the 9th and 10th at Gyeongnam Esports Stadium inside Gyeongsang National University.
The forum will be held under the theme, "K-Entrepreneurship: Connecting regions and the future in the age of artificial intelligence (AI)." It is co-hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper, the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation, and the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation. About 450 participants, including university students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and business leaders, are expected to discuss entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem.
Heo Seung-jo, chairman of the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation, said, "I hope young people will learn the new entrepreneurship and startup capabilities required in the AI era and grow into talent that can take on the global stage." He added, "We will continue working to build a youth-centered entrepreneurship ecosystem and expand startup culture." Heo is the eighth son of the late Heo Man-jeong, the founder of GS, from Seungsan Village in Jinju.
Key speakers include former Minister of SMEs and Startups Oh Young-joo and Ha Beom-jong, president of LG, as well as executives from Samsung Group, LG, GS Holdings, and Hyosung Group.
The winners of the K-Entrepreneurship Startup Competition, now in its second year, are expected to present innovative ideas for future industries such as AI, biotech, and robotics.
The Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation was launched in July 2023. Entrepreneurs from Jinju include Lee Byung-chul, founder and former chairman of Samsung Group; Koo In-hwoi, founder of LG; Heo Man-jeong, founder of GS Holdings; Koo Cheol-hoe, honorary chairman of LIG; Koo Tae-hoe, honorary chairman of LS Cable & System; and Cho Hong-je, founder of Hyosung Group. The values they pursued were patriotism and love for the people, business as a way to serve the nation, human-centered talent management, and a sense of social responsibility for corporate profits.
