Letters: Difficulties with artificial intelligence
We are giving up our minds to this new idea of things.
It should be OI: Our Intelligence.
Because we ourselves are doing it and have been for some time.
In the elders among us, the brain starts trending to the “executive” position. You know, why the CEOs make the big bucks as they draw upon a lifetime of experience.
This is the good news and the bad news because the history of our elders is both wonderful and terrible.
So it’s likely that AI will reflect this because WE are training it. The big difference between human intelligence and AI is that it can’t create. It can’t do random. It can only do what is the repetitive input of the information we feed it.
I think it was Einstein who said, imagination is more important than intelligence … but I don’t know, maybe I made it up … does it matter?
