Malawi and India Explore Technology Partnerships at TechBridge Workshop

The TechBridge platform is intended to help turn the connections between Malawian and Indian stakeholders into practical partnerships that can contribute to Malawi’s digital transformation.

Malawi and India are exploring stronger cooperation in technology, trade and investment through the India–Malawi TechBridge Workshop held in Lilongwe.

The workshop, hosted at mHub, brought together stakeholders from both countries to discuss opportunities in artificial intelligence, information technology, innovation, emerging technologies and skills development.

Harold Msusa, Malawi’s Secretary for Information and Communications Technology and guest of honour at the event, highlighted the growing role of technology in driving economic growth. He called for stronger connections between Malawian and Indian institutions, businesses and innovators.

Discussions focused on practical areas including digital skills development, startups, technology investment and knowledge sharing. The workshop also provided an opportunity to showcase technology solutions being developed in Malawi and identify gaps that need to be addressed as digital technologies become increasingly integrated into everyday life.
