Mark Carney dismisses Donald Trump’s attempt to rename Lake Ontario as ‘Lake America’
U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order today renaming Lake Ontario to “Lake America,” a move Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has dismissed, pointing out the lakes name Ontari’io comes from the Wendat people and predates both Canada and the United States.
