Maruti Suzuki Collaborates with Five Startups for Innovation and Efficiency
Startups: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially partnered with five new startups MiniMines, Easework AI, Sarvam AI, Siftly, and CodeMate AI to develop solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience. These startups were selected as the winners of the 5th cohort of the Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program (MSIP), which is conducted in partnership with NSRCEL, the incubation hub at IIM Bangalore.
Collaborative Solutions and Impact: The collaboration focuses on addressing specific business challenges through innovative technologies:
MiniMines: Will assist in the environmentally friendly recycling of end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and the extraction of precious materials.
Easework AI: Utilizes agentic AI to provide end-to-end workflow automation for the procurement of indirect consumables.
Sarvam AI: Employs GenAI agents with multilingual support to improve customer interactions across various touchpoints.
Siftly: Uses Generative AI to enhance brand visibility.
CodeMate AI: Leverages AI to accelerate the development of software applications utilized in business processes.
Maruti Suzuki’s Managing Director & CEO, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, stated that these collaborations are part of the company’s commitment to co-creating practical solutions for real business challenges.
Maruti Suzuki’s Commitment to Innovation: Over the past seven years, Maruti Suzuki has established a robust framework to support startups, having screened approximately 7,400 companies and successfully onboarding 38 as partners. The company’s key innovation programs include:
Maruti Suzuki Accelerator (Launched 2019): Focuses on open innovation in automobile manufacturing and mobility by collaborating with growth-stage startups.
Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program (Started 2020): Nurtures early-stage technology startups with mentorship from IIM Bangalore.
Mobility Challenge (Initiated 2021): Provides a platform for mature-stage startups to showcase cutting-edge mobility solutions.
Nurture (Started 2023): A pre-incubation program for idea-stage startups in collaboration with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.
FundRays (Launched 2025): An investment readiness program for alumni startups, developed in partnership with ISB Hyderabad.
