Motorcyclist dies after striking utility pole in Windsor

Police say a 39-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle early Saturday morning in Windsor.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Riverside Drive near Ford Boulevard.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation indicated the man was travelling at a high rate speed when he lost control of his bike and struck a utility pole.

After being transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries he later died, police said.

Police continue to look to see if anyone saw the crash or has video footage of the incident.
