Munich-based FRYTE Mobility raises €3.5 million to connect eTruck fleets with charging infrastructure across Europe

FRYTE Mobility, a Munich-based startup building the central software platform to connect logistics and energy systems for eTruck operations, has closed its €3.5 million Seed round, bringing total funding raised to €5 million.

The funding round was co-led by 4impact capital and Rethink Ventures, with participation from existing investors Revent, F-LOG, accilium ventures and a group of angel investors. The capital will be used to scale FRYTE’s platform across Europe, connecting eTrucks with the charging infrastructure they need.

Pauline Wink, Founding Partner at 4impact capital, commented, “Electric trucks are about to reach total cost of ownership parity with diesel in several European countries, and Europe’s CO2 mandates are further driving the shift toward electric heavy-duty transport. That takes the continent from tens of thousands of eTrucks today to hundreds of thousands by 2030. What is missing is not more chargers or more software, but a layer that makes logistics, charging and energy systems work together.

“Most players are building vertical point solutions. FRYTE is building the horizontal coordination layer, and Max and Sebastian have been all in on this problem since day one. That combination of timing and depth is rare, and it is why we invested.”

Founded in 2025 by Sebastian Wolff and Maximilian Zähringer, FRYTE operates a matchmaking platform for fleets and charging infrastructure. The company offers charging points, whether private or public, and recommends the best partners for the fleet’s routes. By coordinating when and where eTrucks charge, the company provides eTruck operators with reliable charging slots and charge point operators (CPOs) with predictable utilisation.

The company notes that its platform ensures mutual commitments and clear usage contracts, resulting in a reliable and straightforward charging process. Dispatchers and drivers receive optimised tour suggestions and, if needed, reservations with the most suitable charging partners.

According to the company, operating electric trucks requires reliable charging at the right time and in the right place. It notes that today, transport management systems plan routes without visibility into charging availability, while CPOs run stations with no advance notice of arriving eTrucks or their energy needs.

FRYTE claims to bridge this gap. Its open software infrastructure connects logistics platforms to Charge Point Management Systems (CPMS) via industry standards such as OCPI. By uniting tour planning and energy demands into a single operation, FRYTE enables real-time, cross-border advance bookings, delivering guaranteed slots for fleet operators and predictable utilisation for CPOs.

Wolff, CTO and co-founder of FRYTE Mobility, said, “Charging infrastructure only works at scale if it connects across operators, and that only happens through open standards. The charging side is live, our next milestone is the transport management domain.”

FRYTE reports that it is fully operational across multi-provider sites and has already processed over 200 end-to-end bookings from dispatcher planning through driver execution to CPO confirmation.

The German startup plans to use this capital to expand its commercial team and deepen integrations with CPOs and their CPMS. FRYTE will also continue to build out its reservation functionality, following recent pilot milestones with partners including TRATON Charging Solutions (MAN Charge & Go), FIEGE, Fraport AG, Energie Südbayern, and Dettendorfer Energy.

Zähringer, CEO and co-founder of FRYTE Mobility, said, “Our product is ready for scale, and the foundation we’ve built with partners like TRATON, Fraport and Energie Südbayern proves it. This round lets us focus entirely on commercial scaling — bringing more CPOs and eTruck operators across Europe onto the platform. With Rethink Ventures, 4impact capital and our existing investors, we have the perfect match: their expertise in logistics and energy, and their access to new markets, will help us grow faster and reach the operators who need this most.”
