New cinema, entertainment center announced for Huntington's Pullman Square

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A new movie theater and entertainment center is moving into Huntington’s Pullman Square.

City officials announced Tuesday afternoon that Icon Cinemas will be taking over the movie theater space located at Pullman Square, which will include an added entertainment center with bowling and arcade games.

Icon Cinemas CEO Stetson Snell said during the announcement the location will offer duckpin bowling and arcade games in addition to 14 cinemas with reclining, heated seats.

One of the cinemas will be Marshall-themed and stream the university’s football games.

Huntington Mayor Patrick Farrell said the location will be the family-owned company’s 10th across the country and will include a multi-million dollar renovation of the space.

Marquee Cinemas has occupied the space at Pullman Square since it opened. A spokesperson confirmed to WCHS-TV prior to the announcement that the company would be leaving the location “in the near future.”

A timetable for Icon Cinemas’ opening in Huntington was not provided.
