Canada and the United Kingdom will jointly co-chair the next edition of the Roadmaps to New Nuclear conference with the NEA in 2027. The announcement was made during Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2026 on 17 September in Paris, France.

Roadmaps to New Nuclear has become a leading international forum for governments, industry leaders, investors and other stakeholders seeking to advance practical solutions for the deployment of new nuclear energy projects at scale. Building on the momentum of the four previous editions, the 2027 conference will continue efforts to strengthen international co-operation on such key issues as financing, supply chains, workforce development and project delivery.

NEA Director-General William D. Magwood, IV welcomed the commitment of Canada and the United Kingdom to join the NEA in leading the conference in 2027. “Canada and the United Kingdom are setting the pace in the deployment of advanced nuclear energy technologies,” the Director-General noted. “Their leadership at Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2027 will help all our member countries focus on the practical actions needed to enable the successful deployment of new nuclear capacity to meet global challenges for secure energy supplies.”
