OpenAI appoints new CRO

OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic, the former president and chief operating officer of cloud security company Wiz, as its new chief revenue officer, replacing Denise Dresser who held the position for just nine months.

The move is part of a broader leadership shake-up at the company over the past month, which has also seen the departure of chief operating officer Brad Lightcap and the company's second-in-command, AGI deployment chief executive Fidji Simo. Co-founder and president Greg Brockman has taken a larger management role in the wake of those exits.

Wiz, Rajic's previous employer, was acquired by Google for $32 billion earlier this year in the tech giant's largest-ever acquisition. In announcing the appointment, Brockman wrote that the way OpenAI is deploying its technology is changing rapidly, and that Rajic would "turn what we've learned into repeatable execution as we build out the full system to make AI broadly useful for people and businesses."

OpenAI says its products reach more than one billion weekly active users and two million businesses. The company has filed confidentially with the SEC ahead of a potential initial public offering, though no date for that listing has been announced.
