Ottawa Titans crowned Frontier League champions for 1st time

For the first time in franchise history, the Ottawa Titans are the Frontier League champions.

The Titans defeated the Evansville Otters 4-0 Saturday night in Game 4 of the championship series in front of a packed Ottawa Stadium.

It was their third straight win of the series, a big rebound after initially falling to the Otters 6-0 in Game 1 in Indiana on Tuesday.

That was the Titans' only loss in the 2026 playoffs.

Earlier this month, they swept the New Jersey Jackals in their wild card series and did the same to the New York Boulders in the Atlantic Conference finals.

The Titans have made three post-season appearances since they began competing in 2022, but this marks their first time reaching the Championship series.

Friday night's Game 3 at Ottawa Stadium set a new single-game Frontier League record with 10,303 fans in attendance, according to the team.

The league's 18 teams — which range from Ontario and Quebec all the way south to Mississippi — are not directly affiliated with major league baseball clubs, though they occasionally bring in former major leaguers or have alumni make the big leagues.
