The Ottawa Titans beat the New York Boulders Friday night to advance to the Frontier League Championship Series for the first time in the franchise's history.

The final score was 3-2, marking the Titans' third consecutive win and a sweep of the Atlantic Conference Championship Series.

A record-breaking crowd attended, the team posted online, with 7,912 people at the game, breaking the Frontier League playoff record by more than 2,000 tickets.

The league's championships begin next week, where the Titans will face the winner of the Midwest Conference Championship — either the Washington Wild Things or the Evansville Otters.

The Otters won the first two games but the Wild Things snatched the third, so they'll face off Saturday night for their fourth game and, if needed, Sunday for a fifth.
