RCMP arrest man in Bedford, N.S., in connection with shooting
RCMP say a lockdown order for residents of Bedford, N.S., has ended after a suspect was arrested in connection with a shooting.
The arrest comes a few hours after police asked residents in the Bedford, N.S., area to stay indoors as officers search for an armed and dangerous man believed to be connected to a shooting in Annapolis Royal.
Halifax Regional Police said Saturday morning in a release that the 31-year-old’s vehicle had been found in a parking lot behind Sunnyside Mall in Bedford and investigators believed he could be in nearby woods.
The suspect was wanted in connection with a shooting in South Farmington.
RCMP say the investigation continues.
