RCMP charge 2nd man with fraud, arson over fire that destroyed sports bar in Leader, Sask.
Navjot Singh was arrested this week
A second man is charged with arson and fraud offences in connection with a fire that destroyed a sports bar in Leader, Sask. last year.
RCMP say they arrested Navjot Singh, 28, on Sept. 16 and charged him in connection with a fire that destroyed Halftime Huddle in Leader, a town about 240 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
Singh, who is from Leader, is also charged in connection with the theft and arson of a commercial vehicle in November 2025 and conspiracy to commit theft and arson of two commercial vehicles in June and July 2026.

The bar fire happened around 2:40 a.m. CST on Oct. 26, 2025. By the time firefighters put the flames out, the building had burned to the ground.
RCMP obtained video footage that showed a suspect arriving at the bar, breaking in and then leaving in a dark-coloured SUV.
In January, RCMP charged the bar's owner with similar offences in connection with the fire. Rajinderpal Basran of Calgary is charged with arson with intent to defraud, one count of fraud over $5,000 and one count of arson with disregard for human life.
Singh was scheduled to appear in provincial court in Leader on Thursday.
