Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine kill 33
Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine have left 33 people dead. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has strongly condemned the assaults and vowed that his country will respond firmly.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service announced on social media on Thursday that 30 people had been killed as a result of a Russian attack on buses in Kramatorsk, which is located in the Donetsk region.
It also said that three others had been killed in a Russian attack on a village in Donetsk.
Zelenskyy wrote on social media on Thursday that some of the victims have not yet been identified due to the severity of the damage to their bodies. He said, "We will not let this attack go unanswered."
Meanwhile, the major Russian newspaper Kommersant reported on Thursday that Ukraine used drones to target a data center belonging to Russia's major IT firm, Yandex, which is known as Russia's Google. The facility is located in the central Russian region of Ryazan. The newspaper noted that the attack had caused a fire. It reported Yandex has warned that some of its services may be unavailable to users.
