Gasgoo Munich-Brain-Device Era (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Brain-Device Era") has recently closed a seed round worth tens of millions of yuan. The financing was led by Hua Capital Oriza Management Ltd. (Hua Capital).

The company stated that proceeds from this round will primarily fund the development of "Omni-One," the company’s first-generation multifunctional motor brain-computer interface. The capital will also accelerate in-house R&D and preclinical validation of its non-invasive, high-throughput ultrasound brain-computer interface system, while bolstering its core engineering and clinical teams.

Established in November 2025, Brain-Device Era is China’s first high-performance brain-computer interface company focused on "whole-brain interface" technology. The startup aims to build a next-generation platform for direct brain-AI interaction, developing non-invasive, universal ultrasound brain-computer interface products. Its goal is to transition brain-computer interface technology from medical devices into broader consumer applications.

Guided by a philosophy of "high performance, wearability, non-invasiveness, and rapid iteration," Brain-Device Era leverages functional ultrasound neuroimaging (fUSI) as its core signal acquisition method. This non-invasive approach enables high-throughput, long-term reading of brain activity, sidestepping the immune rejection and longevity issues associated with traditional implanted electrodes.

fUSI technology delivers data throughput equivalent to millions of channels, with spatial resolution down to 100 micrometers and temporal resolution of 20 milliseconds—capabilities that meet the demands of real-time control.

The company’s debut product, "Omni-One," is the world’s first universal multifunctional motor brain-computer interface to integrate multiple motor intentions onto a single non-invasive platform. It targets medical rehabilitation for patients with motor impairments—such as those recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, ALS, or hemiplegia—before eventually expanding into human-computer interaction and consumer electronics.

Gasgoo Auto’s "Seeds Discovery" column is designed to build a service platform connecting startups, ecosystem partners, investors, and local governments, aiming to empower the entire automotive supply chain. Since its inception, the column has sought to identify standout companies, technologies, and business models driving the intelligent transformation. According to Gasgoo Auto, nearly every startup featured in "Seeds Discovery" has successfully secured strategic connections within the industry ecosystem.
