Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence: A Hard IP Perspectives”
On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES), organized a seminar from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM at the Auditorium, D-Building, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The seminar aimed to provide students with industry-oriented knowledge of the growing applications of Artificial Intelligence in Hard IP design, integrated circuit development, hardware acceleration, and semiconductor engineering.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Shahriyar Masud Rizvi (Associate Professor [EEE] and Deputy Director, Dr. Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation, AIUB), who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of emerging technologies in the semiconductor industry. The speaker, Mr. Ahmad S Mazumder (Vice President of Engineering, iTest Bangladesh), delivered an insightful session on the applications of Artificial Intelligence in Hard IP design, current industry practices, and emerging trends in semiconductor engineering. He also highlighted the technical skills and industry knowledge required to build a successful career in VLSI and semiconductor engineering.
The seminar concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation to the speaker. The token was presented by Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan (Professor and Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Professor and Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Associate Professor and Head [EEE], AIUB) and Dr. Shahriyar Masud Rizvi. The seminar successfully enriched the participants’ knowledge on the role of AI in Hard IP design and introducing them to future career opportunities in the rapidly developing semiconductor industry.
