South Asian film festival celebrates 15-year milestone in Canada
The International Film Festival of South Asia celebrates 15 years this year. The milestone marks a new chapter for the Peel Region event as it goes from curating worldwide films to building an ecosystem where local South Asian filmmakers can thrive. CBC Peel’s Nav Nanwa hosted the gala on Friday in Brampton. Before he hit the stage, he spoke to the organizers and attendees about this year’s festivities.
