Spain police arrest one of Canada’s most wanted fugitives, police confirm

Police in Spain have arrested All Boivin, one of Canada’s most wanted fugitives, Quebec provincial police confirmed Friday.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said Boivin, 36, was arrested by the European Operational Team in Marbella, Spain.

Bovin, originally from Saguenay, Que., had been wanted since February 2023 and was believed to be living Marbella.

According to the BOLO Program, which brings public awareness to Canada’s most wanted, Boivin is tied to a series of conflicts between criminal organizations that erupted in Quebec in 2022.

Police say Boivin is believed to be a central figure in Quebec’s violent ongoing drug conflict.

He is wanted to face charges of gangsterism, aggravated assault, kidnapping, abduction, breaking and entering, arms trafficking and substance trafficking. Officials say he is also suspected to be involved in several criminal activities that are still under active investigation.

Bovin is believed to have collaborated with Dave “Pic” Turmel, the alleged head of Blood Family Mafia. Turmel was arrested in Italy in 2025.

SQ Director Johanne Beausoleil said Boivin’s arrest marks an important step for public safety and the fight against organized crime in Quebec.

She said it was the result of a lengthy investigation conducted by the provincial police in close collaboration with police partners in Quebec, across Canada and internationally.

Beausoleil thanked investigators and police partners, including the RCMP, Interpol, European police authorities and Spanish authorities, for their collaboration.

She said judicial proceedings will get underway while the SQ continues its efforts to disrupt organized crime, protect the public and bring suspects before the courts.

The SQ, the RCMP and Interpol are collaborating on the investigation.
