Teenager charged following assault on Memorial University campus
A teenager is in custody after a woman was attacked at Memorial University's St. John's campus on Friday.
The incident happened at around 2 p.m. NT.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, a 15-year-old male allegedly attacked the woman while she was working in her campus office.
The attacker was not known to her and she was not physically injured by the attack, police said.
The teenager fled the area before police arrived, but was captured on video, which MUN's Campus Enforcement and Patrol provided to police. He was arrested on Saturday.
The suspect has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault by choking.
He was held to appear in court at a later date.
