Teledyne Marine Demonstrates UUV Capabilities at REPMUS 2026
Teledyne Marine, which is part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is supporting REPMUS26, the Portuguese-led experimentation exercise which focuses on Maritime Unmanned System (MUS) experimentation, interoperability, capability and doctrine development where emerging technologies are evaluated in realistic naval environments to accelerate capability adoption across allied fleets. REPMUS is the largest exercise of robotic and experimentation.
The event reinforces a principle consistently demonstrated through REPMUS and similar NATO initiatives: customers acquire emerging capabilities when they are proven in relevant operational settings.
This year's experimentation brings together NATO navies, industry, and academia to evaluate autonomous systems supporting anti-submarine warfare, undersea surveillance, rapid environmental assessment, critical undersea infrastructure protection, and maritime domain awareness.
Teledyne Marine is supporting the exercise through coordinated participation across its unmanned undersea vehicle (UUVs) portfolio including large-scale multi-glider operations utilizing 19 Slocum gliders and two Slocum Sentinel gliders, one with towed-array system. In addition, Teledyne is supporting advanced underwater navigation demonstrations featuring Gavia Autonomous Underwater Vehicle operations supported by Benthos autonomous vehicle deployed deep ocean transponder navigation aiding technology and deployment from the ZeroUSV OCEANUS17 unmanned surface vessel.
Teledyne Marine activity at REPMUS26 is expected to include deployment and operational support for Slocum and Sentinel glider missions, coordination with allied naval operators, and technical support for Gavia UUV operations. These activities are designed to demonstrate how persistent autonomous sensing, acoustic payload integration, and navigation-aiding technologies can support distributed maritime operations across multiple mission areas.
